Working meeting with representatives of the public organization “Dnepropetrovsk Center for Healthy Youth”

On March 7, 2019, at the premises and at the initiative of the Solonyansky district department of the branch of the State Institution “Probation Center” in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a meeting was held with representatives of the public organization “Dnipropetrovsk Center for Healthy Youth” of the International Anti-Drug Association Anton Gorvas and Alexander Shulyak.
During the meeting, issues of interaction with the district probation department in terms of joint work as probation volunteers were discussed.
Volunteering in probation is a great social responsibility and a certain risk, so only citizens can be allowed to volunteer, they are aware of this and have the skills to resolve conflict and difficult situations. A probation volunteer to help probation subjects who, due to circumstances, difficult living conditions, have committed offenses of minor public danger, for which they are sentenced to punishments alternative to imprisonment, or a situation when at the stage of preparing a pre-trial report the question of the degree of their responsibility is being decided. That is, between serving a certain type of punishment, in order to prevent him from committing a new offense, this person receives a set of measures aimed at correcting social behavior or its individual manifestations, the formation of socially favorable personality changes.
Every caring and initiative citizen, together with our department will be able to take part in this by: helping in the collection, generalization and systematization of information, implementation of supervisory activities, providing advice, psychological diagnostics and correction, conducting educational conversations, raising the educational level, engaging in pro-social activities and cultural life of society, assistance in finding a job, arranging everyday life, finding the strength to “get on your feet,” so that you can help others with your actions and example, and much more.
As a result of the meeting, two relevant agreements were signed on the implementation of volunteer activities in the field of probation.
