October 18 is European Day against Trafficking in Human Beings.
Today we celebrate the European Day against Trafficking in Human Beings, which was founded back in 2007 by the European Parliament as a day of consolidation of activities to raise awareness of the phenomenon of human trafficking.
This is a reason to state the urgency of the problem, as well as the need to consolidate efforts of state authorities, local self-regulation bodies and the public to provide assistance to victims.
Our volunteers took part in the action dedicated to the Day of Combating Human Trafficking. In the area of the railway station, an information and consultation point was installed, to which everyone could approach and get full information about the problem or ask for help.
One of the main tasks is the formation in society of an understanding that human dignity, human rights are the highest value, as well as prevention and formation of intolerant behavior, zero tolerance to any forms of human exploitation.
Remember: anyone can become a victim of human trafficking, regardless of gender, age, education or qualifications!
Therefore, only by joining forces can we defeat the problem of human trafficking in society!
